On the large rock that separates the two beaches was the fortress that served as a defense against the incursions of Algerian and Barbary pirates in the fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Subsequently the castle was abandoned, leaving today only some remains of the walls, which lie on the rocks of the viewpoint.
THE BENIDORM VIEWPOINT
The castle walls are now visible, being in sight after a recent archaeological excavation, they have information panels that explain what part of the wall you are seeing. In addition, here you can access the Balcón del Mediterráneo viewpoint, where you will see the whole city of Benidorm as well as the sea.
Emblematic corner of Benidorm with spectacular views of the beaches of Poniente, Levante and Mal Pas, as well as the island. A visit at night is recommended for the atmosphere it creates.

Whenever we go to Benidorm, we have to go, there are beautiful views, and you can have a good ice cream, beer or whatever you fancy in the bar there.

Wonderful views of the beaches and the Mediterranean Sea, very good but only on a sunny day, as you can't appreciate those views if it's cloudy.
